DISTANCE was the first Field Broadcast residency project. In response to an invitation to work with DISTANCE Festival we worked with three artists in three cities over the three months of the three-part Festival. During the course of the three months, artists experimented and developed new work, each making a series of broadcasts. Through the sequential nature of the broadcasts the artists each evoked a singular experience of their city for the distant public.
DISTANCE is a roaming performance festival exploring our relationships to distance, from cheap flights, international working and digital networks.
